I just hit 10,000 plays on my Zune, so I figured it would be interesting (to me) to see what I’ve been listening to the most. My Zune reports my top artists as:
- Tower of Power
- Fear Factory
- Average White Band
- Metallica
- NWA
- Ozzy Osbourne
- Chicago
- Black Sabbath
That’s pretty representative of the bands I like best, and I bet the Buddy Rich Big Band would have made the list were it not for the fact that the name they used seemed to be different on every album (“Buddy Rich Big Band”, “The Amazing Buddy Rich”, “Buddy Rich”, etc.)
So if you’re not listening to each of these groups, you should. Oh, but stick to the first 5 albums from Chicago, that’s when they were good. After that is when Terry Kath shot himself (allegedly accidentally) and Peter Cetera castrated the whole band.
